Shatara Hawkins
WOMEN R was founded by Shatara Hawkins in 2017, and an incorporated and registered 501(C)(3) in 2019. Shatara was raised by a single mother and saw many of the struggles her mother had to endure as well as the obstacles she had to face as well.. She has always been the one to encourage others and lend a helping hand, so she started her nonprofit to turn her dream into a reality.
