This is Cherell💗
I met her about a year ago at one of our WomenR Chipotle fundraiser events. She came out with her daughter, and at the time, she was living in one of the shelters that WomenR partners with.
After meeting her, I felt led to stay connected. I took her under my wing, spoke life into her, believed in her, encouraged her, and connected her with resources along the way.
But let me tell you something about HER — this woman did the WORK!
Through every obstacle, every difficult season, and every challenge she and her daughter faced, Cherrell remained CONSISTENT, DEDICATED, FOCUSED, RESILIENT, and determined.
She NEVER gave up.
And TODAY, I am so proud to say that she has officially MOVED INTO HER OWN PLACE! 🏡🔑🎉
THIS is why WomenR exists.
This is what impact looks like.
This is what happens when resources, encouragement, faith, consistency, and community come together.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude that God allowed me to be a vessel in her journey. Sometimes we pray for God to use us, and then He places someone directly in our path and says, “Love them. Encourage them. Help them. Believe with them.”
Cherrell, I am SO proud of you! You fought for yourself and your daughter, and this new home is only the beginning of what God has in store for you.

Everyone shared how incredibly engaging the session was, how excited the youth were to participate, and how quickly they connected with you. It sounds like you created such a welcoming and encouraging environment where our young people felt comfortable expressing themselves through art, and we are so grateful that you chose to share your time and talents with them.
